Road angel

After a road angel, just wondering what differences the new road angle and the older one have, other than more expensive and more modern look.

New one has the laser detector integrated and has a couple of new features. The favourite being that the detector doesnt bark at you when passing a blackspot/speed camera zone while doing under 15mph. When you are stuck in traffic for example.

Its also got a lower profile and sits closer to the screen. Something that favours Mk2 owners as you cant mount a detector properly due to the dash design.

 

Where is the cheapest to get each? and do you recon the extra is worth it?

The classic road angel can be had off Ebay for about 260 brand new. Rob.gti is selling his as he just bought the new one. Send him a PM if you are interested, its like new.

The new one isnt even available in the shops yet, but can be bought direct from Road Angel for 399.

A thing to note, the classic road angel can be updated with a lifetime subscription to the service for 99. However, the new road angel can only be subscribed to the service at 12months at a time.
