running 205-50-15's on 6x15 wheels

    Any thoughts on running a 205 width tyre on a 6x15 wheel?

    Too wide. You'd want a 7.5 inch rim. A 7 at the least , though they suit 195 better.

    Yeah, that's what I was thinking but thought I'd ask. the problem is that the tyre selection for 195-50-15 here in the states is pretty slim so I might end up running 195-45-15's instead

    185/55 any more common? 205 will be all balloony especially on those 6" rims, was bad enough on the bmw wheels i had

    I can find plenty of those RJ but I like the 195-50-15 for the side wall height

    185/55 are pretty much the same sidewall height, 55 is a percentage of the width not a measurement. 195/50 and 185/55 work out about the same for the sidewall :thumbup:
