Rust on Mk6 bonnet hinges - anyone?

    Has anyone got issues with rust appearing on Mk6 Golf bonnet hinges?

    Around the centre pins I think, but unsightly.

    It's been flagged to me today as a possible issue, so just to see if others have similar experiences.

    I've not come across that one yet, but the lastest polo's have been having issues with door locks not working!

    It seems like an odd one, someone on Edition38 had rust developing on the arches of his Mk5 when it was a year old or something, worrying really.

    They probably rolled them with a lump hammer.

    No sign of any rust...

    No sign (at all) of any rust on the bonnet hinges of the white Mk 6 Golf TDI BlueMotion I've got at the moment...

    Will many mk6 owners even open the bonnet for the first few thousand miles if at all? Obviously some will but percentage wise not many.

    its not just brown waxy sealer is it??? we get people coming in complaining of rust and when you go out its just wax??
