safety devices rollcage for a mk1

    Built mine up inside the car today and all seems well other than the two feet that go onto the sills at the B pillars. they seem to have sprung inwards, anyone else had this? and the plates with nuts welded onto them, are these meant to be peiced into the sill, or just welded onyo it?

    i've had this on a couple of the cages me and my dad have installed, we got the plates welded in the correct position and pushed the cage legs out by hand to get the bolts in, it didn't need much.

    you need to drill some holes in the sill for the nuts to fit into so the plate sits flat on the sill:

    ok thanks for that steve. Should be making a start to it tonight. My uncle is going to help, hes into old fords so hes quite good at welding now :lol:
