scirocco mk2 gt2 abf conversion Question

    Hi, can anyone tell me whether a a carbed tank will be okay to use with a in line pump and pressure regulator or will i have to change the tank and fit a different tank and pump?

    yes you can keep your old fuel tank. but depending on the pump you'll want a post-84 cab/rocco or g40 shape polo lift pump and under car plastic fuel reservoir. all oem vw inline pumps need this setup otherwise they will eventually die, aftermarket ones may be ok to just suck fuel out of the tank but may suffer from starvation when cornering. the lifter/res setup has 2 purposes, one to prevent fuel starvation when cornering and two to prevent the main pump ever runnign dry as it needs fuel to lubricate the internals.

    if it was me I would fit either std mk1/cab/rocco gti or polo gt/g40 bosch main pump :)
