Side lights

I've just noticed that the side lights on my car only work when I've got the ignition switched on, the tail lights work all the time though. Anybody got any ideas what could be causing this?

are the little bulbs coming on at all??..it'd be dim dip with the ign on

 

The little bulbs only come on when I've got the ignition switched on with the headlight switch in the first position, if I remove the key and turn them on only the back lights come on and the same if I use the indicator.

 

dunno then..dont sound right

 

I think I'm going to have to try another switch, can't think of anything else that could cause it.
