anyone know of good anti-virus to find them and remove them.

my brothers bank account was hacked, wasn't through phishing so must have been a keylogger, I presume, but after running malwarebytes, spybot, adaware, tj, avg and summit else, have come up with nothing.

he did have the windows spyware trojan virus twice a couple of months ago, I put a thread on here which i successfully removed both times, could it be that and they sat on his details a couple of months?
those viruses usually let you put the details in to get your details, not through a keylogger I thought though, so I'm stumped...

Back up important items and format HDD and start again... the best way to get rid of it ! - then install a decent anti virus software

i'll agree back up all your files, but go virus scan them first before transferring them, then kill it and start fresh.

Scan in Safe Mode with Networking (allows you to download antivirus software)

For free ones I like Antivir & Malwarebytes

^ this combo has removed even the toughest stains

Where do we think the keylogger would be or come from then?

Windows and system files are on a seperate hard drive to personal files, all personal files need to be kept, everything, as said, has been scanned by 6 programmes (in safe mode) so I could reinstall windows and still have it as it might not be that hard drive...

Thing is you're not 100% sure it's a keylogger. If his bank account was hacked, is this the only machine that he does internet banking from?

Have you checked the usual things like msconfig, startup folders and regedit for what programs are running at bootup?

It's about 10 times more likely that his card has been swiped at a dodgy shop/garage/restaurant, or by a "touched" ATM - I wouldn't go looking for keyloggers.

Transactions were made through online banking, not by a duplicate card...

I thought something physical had to be installed (USB Pen) for a keylogger to work?
