My problems are more to do with the unfinished engine conversion in it than the age of the car...... if i can the time to finish it there would be no problem.......

Get a rust-free nice Mk2 with the money from the R32, then stick an R32 engine in it and have all the wearing parts replaced..... and spend the rest of the cash on crack cocaine.....[:D]

Rob - When the DEALER says he much prefers the R32 to the mk5 GTi you know there must be something in it. Happened twice now.

    Oh yes, there is that.
I just expected them to try and sell me a new GTi and he said "wait for the mk5 R32!"

i will say it now and probably again, but why do you think the r32 is the most desirable car in the world?

I think you were just unlucky with the attempted theft. Anyway, it could happen with any car.
Its only a car at the end of the day.....you should have kept the r32 especially seeing as you can afford one.

It would be a grave waste purchasing a shyte car after that.

Anyway, I am sure in a month or so we will have 'my new mg rover got keyed by an illegal immigrant......'

Well there's NO need for such a shi**y comment.
I'm hardly pleased that I was forced to sell it am I?
I know of four other R32 owners who have had to do the same too.
Who said I'm going to buy a shyte car anyway?!
