That's spooky - they knocked on my door too, but I told them I didn't want one ;)

Looks like a nice little new year present - you'll have to let us know just how amazing the fuel economy is!

    New Toy!

All I had outside my door this morning was a bill from the milkman! Just doesn't have the same reaction.

Cheers guys, I much prefer a 3 door. Only time will tell with the economy, i'll have to run it in first. Any tips for running in these new Common Rail diesels?

I tell you what, the build quality feels even better than I expected, so solid.

It's a bluetooth hands free kit with touch screen thingimy. Once connected to the phone i'm able to go through my phonebook with my phone in my pocket. Rather good.

Thanks, it's 105 ps and similar torque as the old 105 ps 1.9 PD.

Interesting to see the return to 1.6 for a VW Diesel... wonder how long before one makes its way into a mk1 or mk2? lol

That the Bury version, I have the VW badged Bury system in our mk5 , works very well, speak recognition works and browsing contacts simple

Mk6's are a lovely drive, come highly recommended

I was in the main dealers the other day getting parts for the Mk 2 and noticed a leaflet for the VW system and noticed it looked very similar to the Bury in my car. Brilliant piece of kit, it does a pretty good job of trying to pronounce the names in my phone, it nearly gets them right but always makes me laugh. Is that the same with the VW one? Mine also changes colour when the lights go on and it matches the blue lighting from the stereo.
