A lot of people sl*g off sony stuff.

TBH the old sony amps were quite good. The amp you have there is fine for powering components but will struggle with anything bigger than 6x9s.

I've found out from experience that sony amps and sony speakers paired up sound decent.

It's designed to power 2 rear drivers (6x9 etc) and a front component setup, it has a built in crossover network, all adjustable on the face of the amp.

yeah should sound decent with some sony comps. It's an ok setup for 'normal' use.

I have had two good experiences with sony audio stuff..

    1. I bought some infinity 6x9s and linked them up on my Sony MD headunit and they sounded crap. These cost 80 BTW. I then took them back and got some sony 6x9s which are about 40 and they sound mint. The bass from them alone is enough to convince some people not to get a sub!

    2. I then bought a Sony Xplod 12" sub (about 50)(running off an old Fury amp now) and I have to say that it sounds better than my friend's 12" Rockford (400w) sub (80). Plus just yesterday I noticed the rockford starting to rattle and pop. My sony still sounds as tight as when I bought it.

Most people in audio shops (I won't name any shops) will advise you to stay away from sony stuff. All I have to say is don't take their word for it but try it out yourself. (most are a bunch of ***** anyway just trying to make as much cash as possible!)

I was going to sell it anyway, I've already got 2 Alpine amps.
