    ...just seen this for sale - advertised as ....."1800 fuel injected engine - 1995 - 90K miles - FSH - alloys etc...exc.cond (!!)

Q1/ Is this suitable for a legit mk 1 project? The shell is prob pretty good - is it too good to be true i.e. are there any major differences / snags with the SA car c/f the German one that would hamper a mk 1 restoration project which I fancy doing?

Q2/ What would you pay for this car? (I know the asking price! - just wanna getta view))

i reckon theyre just as worthy as any other mk1 as a project

Comes with the gay dash, too - so if it's a resto project you want, you'd have to rip all that out. I'd check all the front end panels you want to replace will fit on - could have been some changes made in the last 20 years........

mmm, we're all pretty positive then! Actually the guys asking 2500 for it...but you might have to pay that for a good 'proper' mk 1 shell from what I hear [:s]

i think the wings will fit ( dont quote me on that as im not 100% but it would give you a good solid base to start from or you could just retro (south african stylee)

Why would you want to change all the panels anyway? It'll still be a citi :) 2500 sounds alot I did'nt pay anywhere near that for mine, although it's not in the best condition [:$]
