splicing speaker cables together

I want to fit new front speakers into the corrado tomorrow, whats the best way of mating the old speaker wires at the headunit into new speaker wires?

would I be better to put a bullet connector at the join, or solder the old and new wires together where they jojn near the new speaker?

 

Bullet connectors. Otherwise how will you remove headunit when the time comes?
