Stainless Manifold

    What would the minimum wall thickness be using s/s to weld up an exhaust manifold ? is 1.5 - 2mm going to be ok ? or shall i rather stick to the 10 gauge 3-4mm wall thinkness (log type manifold)

    Any given gutter, any given day.
    Schedule 40 mild steel stuff is what you want, 4.8mm. A stainless manifold expands more when hot, and is more likely to crack if you're doing a log manifold.
