Insurers and police are being absolute w**kers when it comes to this. I've done all of the phoning, chasing up, phoning back, more chasing up, asking why they're not phoning me back when they said they would. Today I was meant to receive a phone call from the police in the morning, and I was meant to receive a phonecall back from my insurers yesterday. They lack a few major things in this kind of situation, compassion, understanding, helpfulness and urgency. I think they're hoping I'm just going to give up, but I'm not. Getting money back is the only form of justice possible out of this situation as thepikeys that nickedit are never gonna get caught. I miss it I miss driving it
Police were never interested when my car was broken into at uni, but make a U-turn or exceed the speed limit by 5 mph and some chinless c**t with a degree in patronisation gives you a 20 minute sermon on 'responsible driving' before slapping a 120 fine and 3 points on you. After a house, a car is probably the most expensive thing a person will ever buy... yet the senseless theft and destruction of somebody's pride and joy seems to rank in importance along with graffiti and litteringto thepolice. And they wonder why they are loosing the public's support.
Security is a must nowadays, especially where i am, about 12 miles from Swansea. Dont know if its overkill but my valver's got a meta alarm, immobiliser another meta immobiliser due to be fitted, has the Mul - T reverse gear lock and always sports a bulldog clamp and stoplock. Sorry to hear about you're car Emma, I know how i'd feel. lets just say if i found the thievin scum the law wouldnt !
