Not every time but keep getting a strange sound after turning off sounds like a small quite grinding motor running lasts for about 5 seconds sounds like it's coming from drivers side behind the clocks could possibly be in the engine bay any ideas.

Ok so finally managed to get out quickly enough to find the source and It's the radiator fan don't understand why it's coming on never used to do this unless been driving round town a lot. coolant temperature shows 90 degrees engine oil temp 94 degrees.

have a look around the inlet for a single spade brass thermoswitch, if you have one this is rad fan after-run and could be the reason its triggering the fan all the time. if the wire has fallen off it and shorted somewhere it'll constantly trigger

Sorry not sure what your refering to can see a three pin connector on the rad there is a single pin on the transmission side of the block just above the coolant flange

if it has one its on a bracket near the inlet somewhere. heres an example, look for a random wire not going anywhere. you can also check part number of your rad fan control unit to see if it is the type with after run
