Well, there's no point buying decent tyres if you're going to stretch them beyond use... They'd look better shiny... with a good spray of WD40, or a smear of grease would help.

cos youre using a tyre in a way it is not designed for, distorting its shape and putting lots of stress on the sidewall. tyres are a crucial safety part of the car, its the only contact you have with the ground, stretching the sidewalls out greatly reduces the amount of movement in the tyre so they can break away much more easily= skidding and death. if youre going down that route then you may as well chrome plate your break discs to make them look better and cut holes in your seatbelts to make them lighter.
