Here is a problem for all you boffs out ther, i have a 1.6 EZ Webber carb driver mk2. Only Mods to it is a GTi cam and a 4-1 ssheader and full ss exhaust. Sincei have had it i have had a constant problem, When i hit 70ish i get a stutter from the engine that no matter what it stays and feels realy bad. Changed the airfilter no change All ingnition parts, Coil unit, Coil, Leads, Dizzy Plugs New clutch no difference Carb Overhauled inc rubber gasket. and Rolling Road, No difference New exhaust No difference I have tried all the gears from 2nd through to 5th and they all do it around 70 to 80MPH, i have the original Airfilter housing with the original hose going into the wing, Could it be that im not getting enought air at speed????? Could some one please help as i have had her up to 103mph before and she goes realy well bar this problem.
Hi Soooo the stutter is happening now. What have you have done to the car since. How many miles have you done since.
stutter i had this i checked the advance of the dizzy and it was way out so now its running ok past 90
