    If you advertise it on E38 probably 4k. :lol: Seems the usual going rate people ask for a low mileage good nick swallow tail with a crap engine. :)

    Can somebody please explain, preferably with pictures, what constitutes a 'swallow-tail' Mk1?

    A quick Google brought up this;

    Year 1974 and 1975 (till mai/june 1975) the tail looked like this.
    The 'swallow' is about 2 cm deep and round edges.

    Below you see a swallowtail from 'late'1975
    There is the 'swallow' about 1 cm deep.

    So... there we have it. I think.

    Ah ha - I was going to post that pic, thought Pete would have already seen this and posted one of the car already :thumbup:

    In answer to the original question, it's worth what someone will pay for it I suppose - got any pictures? :)

    The swallow tail Mk1's look great! Ive always wanted one for years.

    Nearly bought one a few years ago of some guy who lived near me. Was a 1974 1.1 and he only wanted 800 for it. Totally original but was rustng badly, so turned him down!

    Heres a few pictures i had on my pc from a site, cant remember which one, of the swallowtail coming off the production line -
