i have a mk1 swallow tail with 40k on the clock 1 owner with a years mot, underneath is solid body work is pritty good any one know how much i should put it up forsale for ?
If you advertise it on E38 probably 4k. Seems the usual going rate people ask for a low mileage good nick swallow tail with a crap engine.
Yep, rotten old thing nothing salvageable been stood under a tree for about 13 years,in fact some of the tree was still in it when I weighed it in
A quick Google brought up this; Year 1974 and 1975 (till mai/june 1975) the tail looked like this. The 'swallow' is about 2 cm deep and round edges. Below you see a swallowtail from 'late'1975 There is the 'swallow' about 1 cm deep. So... there we have it. I think.

The swallow tail Mk1's look great! Ive always wanted one for years. Nearly bought one a few years ago of some guy who lived near me. Was a 1974 1.1 and he only wanted 800 for it. Totally original but was rustng badly, so turned him down! Heres a few pictures i had on my pc from a site, cant remember which one, of the swallowtail coming off the production line - Wouldn't mind a fresh new one now Early prototype from the 60's... .
