I'm jsut in the middle of sticking an ABF in a Mk2 valver and was wondering what exhaust manifolds people are using. It's in there and the downpipe heat shield is about 5mm away from the bulkhead, might be ok if I fab up a solid front mount.

I have heard the difference qwoted at 14-16mm but looking at the block is seems a bit more.

So what have people found to work and not work.

Looking at ABF downpipe and cat bypass, Or

longer studs and chop up an old downpipe to make a spacer, Or

fabricate a solid front mount and adjust the height to maximise clearance.

Any experence 8v or 16v apreciated.

Ask Hotgolf, he tilted the motor by the front mount IIRC

As dex says, you can get away using kr manifold and downpipe but i believe its a bit close to bulkhead

Try a TSR tubular manifold for tall blocks.

You can just the use the normal stuff but it is close to the bulk head. If you've got the cash then go for a 4 branch suited to a tall block.

It is a bit close but shud be ok if I make the front mount solid.

4 branch would be nice but got to get it ready for the ring in august and still got the chassis to do aswell.
