This morning my temp light flickered on for 2sec's then off again, the temp mark is sitting just below half way and the mfa says that my oil temp was 86 degrees 10mins later the same thing again, flickers for a few secs, temp just below half? Any ideas? do i have a knackered sensor or is my motor about to blow It's a 8v mk2 gti
A flashing light indicates low coolant level. Having said that, they often fail. So check that the coolant is topped up. If it is and your engine is running at the correct temp, then don't worry about it. Replace the sender when you get time.
