    Hi All

I need some help please. I've only owned the car a few weeks, 2002 1.8T 150bhp, and I've today had a fright. Whilst travelling at about 80, all of a sudden the temp gauge rose to about 130 degrees and the engine lost power......I eased off, turned the ignition of while running and it seems to calm down, but its been rasing slightly on and off since. Out of interst its now reading just above the9 0 degree mark, something it's never done before......Can someone please help me and let me know what the problem could be....I've got alot of driving to do over the next couple of weeks and really need it to be sorted....

My last 1.8t had water pump issues, but this seems different, its only done 50k, water seems to be enterin the expeansion tank freely and there' no floaty bits in the water.

    Cheers

    Will
