Got to say a massive thanks to @d m a lee for sorting me out last weekend. I was on my way to his to pick up an undertray and broke down 5 minutes away. Dodgy alternator. 8pm on a chilly Saturday night. Dave came to pick me up, let me strip an alternator off his car and drove me back to my car so I could fix it. Saved me a right load of cash / hassle. Don't want to get too mushy but cheers Dave and thanks to cgti for linking up like-minded idiots like us who spend too much time farting about with old VWs
