    ...is for sale HERE.

Not quite sure what he is doing asking 8500 though. As far as i can remember it had a new engine and some cheapish shocks and springs fitted. Just because it cost 5000 to upgrade, DOES NOT make your car worth 5000 more.[:x]

Especially when you compare it to db's car which is in a whole different league, and nearly 4000 less.[8-}]

    That said, nice car though:lol:

Hahaha, Christ. So he's added 7000ish of tax just because it has been on TV? Great.

And the word "mint" can still be used even though there're lots of rusty components and loose wires in the engine bay?

If it gets anywhere near that price I'll buy a hat and eat it, the engine bay is a joke for a 'mint' 8.5k car, I turned down a 16v the other day for 200 quid that had a better bay than that!

Trying to sell it on the TV programme alone. Joker. You can buy cars better presented with better mods than that all day long for 6k less.

Noticed a few tasty 20 valvers going for around 5k on there. The S3 engined red one on the bbs's is yum yum

I'm pretty sure that Volkscars supplied that car to the show,

He likes to charge a pound or 2 for a car as well.

Someone not quite sure about correctly pricing a car methinks. Never understand sellers who don't clean a car when trying to sell it.

It was mint, the state of the engine bay speaks volumes about the way the car has been (not) looked after tbh.

    as for the price - [:@)] [:@)] [:@)] [:o)] [:o)] [:o)]

Ouch! I paid 1100 for my 'valver last year which I thought was fair enough.

Not sure I'd want to pay an extra 7k for a car that's just had Tiff bouncing off the redline on a newly bored engine.

And having had another look at the 'bay on the video, and the pic on Pistonheadz I can't believe they're one and the same after just 2 years. Don't think it's had the TLC most of us would have given it had we won that comp.

    Jesus :o

The engine looks well rusty!! Im sure it didn't look that bad when it was on fifth gear.

Based on the work that been done, and as its an oak green, i'd be happy to part with no more than 2500, not 8500

Looks like the bonnet has been left open for the last two years. Look at the fan cowling and the alternator! :o

Wossner pistons iirc. Could be mistaken, would need to rewatch 5th gear vid.
