the saxo and fiesta are unlikely to get a slating on pistonheads because there arnt hoards of them, fields and fields worth, and there the creation of someone using a little imagination for a change. which cant be said about the VW scene. the mx5 tho.... phwoar. i wouldnt kick those out of bed
It's all about the OEM/JDM cross over now! (I have no idea what that actually looks like, just read it somewhere)
There'll be 'collaborations' next. They should stop listening to music artists with their heads up their backsides!
I started a thread about two years ago saying I had seen a new shape corse with 13"s with smoothed off body work and thought it looked lovely and everyone said I needed to see a doctor!!! Now it's official they have copied the VAG 'scene' its all alright huh?? http://clubgti.com/forum/showthread.php?t=197240
There's a real nice mk1 fiesta on E38 thats heavily inspired by the vag look, absolutely awesome IMO. I don't think it's a bad direction if that's the way the saxo brigade are going, certainly better than the max power look
I love 'em, don't care who was first or what it's called... well, ok, I'd like to think it was all VW, but none of it was my idea so makes no odds. Mk1 fiestas are ace, a window cleaner near where I lived had a mint one complete with ladders (obviously). Maybe that's the next thing (step up from roof rack & tricycle).
From memory it was originally built years ago with a RS Turbo 1.6 CVH lump. Then it was changed to a 2.0 Zetec which I think is turbo'd and supercharged.
"Drift" to me doesn't appear to equate to "drifting" as we know it. Where are the stupid wings, and shopping lists?
there is a guy near work with a euro look D reg XR2, its actually quite nice. Its inevitable that trends will cross over into different brand scenes, Euro is the opposite of the 90's bolt on era
