Looking forward to the Paris Motorshow. Concepts previewed often turn out to be 99% accurate of the road going models!! :)

Saw a Mk7 today, on the back of a car transporter while filling the lorry up with diesel, so i managed to have a good look over it. It was in silver, not sure what spec though.

Ive got to say, they do look really nice and was quite impressed.

Anyone else seen one yet ?

I've been all over them, all models and specs, and driven couple of them head to head verses other makes of simlar size

A basic model does have rear beam, not changed the mk1! Higher specs do have a independant. The designer has told us he has gone back and looked at them MK1 looks and lines
I stuggled to see that, unless you have a look at the rear window just right angle, the steel merges into the rear window making it look bigger and the hatch looks flat with the lights!

From a driving it's got too much to play with, the radio isn't a radio at all but the user interface for the radio, as well as suspension and engine settings - Eco settings for almost everything [:s]lol Radio unit is fitted in the glovebox!

Overall the whole car has been built upwards and not rework of a mk5 or 6!
Some major changes with the petrol & diesel engines which in theory is an advancment

The GTI will be wearing it's red stripe, which merges around the grill & lights, I can't wait

    It was lovely

Yeah saw a few in the showroom, absolutely lovely, attention to detail on lights etc is exceptional, the factory alloy selection is stunning, interiors are sumptuous, and these were bluemotion and GTD models! The GTI will be something else.
