This cage doesnt look strong enough?

    Just noticed this Trimsport car while looking through my HD, your opinions (i love the car mind):

    Those bolts/joint look weak? (like something on afitness bench)

    Yeah im not slating it as the car looks stunning but just wanted peoples opinions on here as iv'e never fitted one meself but the ones iv'e seen use plates.

    Suppose it might be one of those situations where in the event of a roll very little force would be put on the area where the bolts are because of the design, dont know just a thought [:?:]

    its not. no strengthenign plates under cage mounts.. so in the event of a crash the cage might punch thru the thin floorpan. same goes for all other bolt on locations.
    it would'nt pass scruitineering.

    Agree. It's a nice car and the guys are enthusists.

    I don't know whether it's an SD cage, but sleeve joints on other fixing points, from recollection, are no longer allowed. Not sure whether this applies to door bars.

    Beats having nothing tho'.

    Agree with Chris and Bill, also it looks like it's held together with cheap mild steel bolts.
