Well 4am start, drive to the southwest for a long weekend, what better to do than get car parts.
First stop after exchanging a pair of shoes for mrs Dodgy was the first scrapyard, we got a leather steering wheel for our mgf, along with a set of wheel nuts and a trim for the door that we needed.
Polo 9n3 Bluemotion rear spoiler, rear splitter, sideskirts, bootlock and front grille, unfortunately no front spoiler, few trim bits for my lads polo.
Audi TT steering wheel and airbag, centre caps, non return valve for servo, plus a load of plugs from various looms, heatshield and stuff.
Wife helped, stripping parts, and if any teddies have been left in the cars and need rescuing.
    Total £55

Cuppa and slice of cake over the road. Took a photo of pasties in shop as work colleagues dont believe me, check the weight on shelf ticket.

Second scrapyard (via a cider farm, scrumpy and mead purchased) and it was a few bits this time, mk2 drivers seat runner trim (mine is missing)
Mk4 golf washer bottle and pump, nice as small, thanks to rubjonny for the suggestion for fitting the mk2 for air filter clearance.
Mk4 speedo drive for gearbox to use in r32 conversion on mates mk3 (next project)
Plus more plugs, sockets and connectors to stash for future.
Yes, mk3 tdi and a Renault 19 16v, plus an escort here, mk1 orions, mk4 escort cabrios and 1.8ts too.
    £10.

Next drive out to a village that suffered dreadfully in the floods in Somerset a few years ago, collection of the mk2 headlight only grille plus top grille spoiler I won on ebay, £20.

And then back to pick up some bits off my mate, pair of big bumpers for mk2, desperate need of cleaning up and painting properly and a set of spax coilovers.

Retire to Airbnb for the evening, eat donuts.

Not a bad day, tiring but achieving.

Very lucky, when we got the mg 4 years ago I went to get some tools out the car and when I got back in the yard she had stripped the interior out of it.
Plus she got to see all the swallows flying around as well as all the other wildlife.
Plus its useful when she sweet talks the price, full leather interior when we had the A4 avant plus a load of other parts for the polo for £50.
