Track Car Insurance - recommendations?

Hi All,

Can anyone recommend a decent insurance company for the Mk2 Golf track car my mate and I have bought between us?

He's tried HIC and they apparently only cover the policy holder for track days, we'd want the policy holder and a named driver to be covered though.

He's tried Adrian Flux and they said they don't do trackday cover?

As it's a 20 year old Golf we're hoping for a cheapish classic policy but want to declare mods such as bucket seats, harnesses, brake upgrades and, in the near future a cage and engine swap.

Any suggestions? Anyone else with a joint owned track car and if so, who's it covered with?

You tried the motorsport companies.....competition car insurance is the one that springs to mind

adrian flux are good my 2l16v mk1 is 207 3rd party f&t with track cover and a agreed value of 3.5k

 

have you tried Daivd Audin. Alot of rally boys use them.

 

Thanks for the suggestions so far, have passed them onto my mate who's trying to sort the insurance. Any more welcome as always
