Right, we all want decent rubber. So i'm gonna try and get hold of them cheaper for us.

So far i'm looking into Toyo R888's and Pirelli Pzero- C + the 15" slicks i use.

These are just rough prices at the minute, and should come down with a bit of interest.

    Toyo's i can get in;

    195/55/15 - 80 each
    205/50/15 - 90 each

Pirelli PZero- C will be around about 520 a set in 195/50/15

Slicks i have to check on availability at the minute , and i'm gonna look at the prices of Dunlop Formula R's and Yokohama A048's at the same time.

    Is anyone interested?

Yes, im definitely interested in any trackday tyres.

    Are those prices delivered?

What about Avon ZZR's? Look like a good tyre and read good reviews.

I'm interested in a set of used slicks.
Road tyre size 195/50/15 or anything close for a 15" rim?

Yoko A048's for less than a ton each would be good.
    Best of luck.

As I have said in another thread, there's bugger all discount to be had on 48s, best deal I could get was free carriage if buying 4 tyres

I'm sure you've looked into getting them cheaper too Jo?
We spoke about it at the 'ring IIRC.

'cos you can't get proper tyres in 45 profile

    *not 15" anyway. ;)

These 888,048,formula R,zero C tyres have much stiffer sidewalls that road tyres so you don't need as low profile.

Plus most people(i'm guessing here-but this is the motorsport forum)tend to run the chassis very stiff for predictable and stable/constant geometry and then use the tyres for the give in the chassis. If you want 'give' 45 profiles aren't much good. I've experimented with 195/50's and 205/50's on a 7j rim and certainly reckon the 205 is worth the slightly higher sidewall height for the marginal level of traction gained.

    Just my 2c.

Wish I had Dunc's blagging power, he's Avon'd up to the max.
