I love buying and selling cars and thought about getting a traders policy so i can collect cars when i'm traveling with work. What firms to these policies and how much do you reckon it would cost for me (26) and my girlfriend (25) to start one?
Tradex is one company who do them. Traders policies are not necessarily too expensive, as long as you don't want Comprehensive cover. Bear in mind, some Insurers will want proof you are actually a trader, though Tradex also do an 'enthusiast' policy which doesn't need this.
Traders policies often have lots of clauses and terms and conditions which can be quite restricting, make sure you read the small print before you buy!!
I have a motor trade policy through brentacre insurance, he suggested it to me when i was changing my car so often due to buying and selling 'the odd' mk2 here and there. Give them a call and see what they can do for you, ask for jon.
im 'on' one den, under a pals company, but i dont 'have' one. not quite sure how it works, but its not the greatest thing in the world, sure i can drive anything up toa 2 litre fully comp, but if i have a crash the geezer would 'rather' me pay it outta my own pocket, as he hasnt claimed on it for years, and reckons if he did claim it would bump it up like 5k extra (which im not sure how much extra 'per person' that would be, as tehres a lot of people on the policy) ill find out some more details when i can Edited by: LathamEscortMK2
