Trouble whit my golf 2, 16v fuelsystem.

    Hi. my car didnt get more than 4500 rpms-mesured the system pressure to 4,8 bar-removed the fuelfilter and add shims to increase the pressure to 5,4 bar-it run verry well 4-5 heats(raceingcar) before it run like crap again-come home mesured the pressure to 5bar-changed the main(high pressure)pump and now it runs at 6,2bar!!! If i remove the fuelrelay and make a jump and run the pumps without starting the engine it sirculate at 5,2bar, but when i start the engine it slowly increase to 6,2 bar and run rich like he....!! Any sugestions??? I have no more shims to take away!!!

    Hi.

    Is the warm up regulator supposed to work correctly? Did you check the bi-metallic strip and the control pressure?
