Very nice, wonder will it appear on here?

Think the exhausts might be quite restrictive though "2 half inch stainless steel exhausts"

Seen this at DUB FREEZE, it had some BIRMINGHAM BHP or summit stickers all over it, was claiming 650hp from front engine and 350hp from the rear one...... biggest turbo i could see was a k03, [:^(] [:^(] [:^(]

I heard that rumour floating around at Dubfreeze. When I took the pics (above) the guy (James) said 650 and 350 were actually the intercooler capacities...[:|]

The way he spoke about it, it was like he built it, but some things didn`t ring true. Makes sense now. Apparently he had `done` it as an advert for his re-mapping company.

The rear engine wasn`t hooked up, and, when I pointed this out he said he had disconnected the throttle cable to the rear engine, because it was too lairy to have both connected for road driving. More likely he`d run out of fuel with that tiny tank...and it also appears the rear engine has a fly-by-wire TB...

I hate it when people buy a car then try to pass it off as their own work. [:x] Especially when they can`t back up what they`re saying with actual knowledge.

Seen a Lupo (or Arosa. Can`t remember) at Croft last year with some seriously wide wheels on. When we asked he guy waht they were, he said they were custom one-off wheels he had made for him by a company in Japan. `Cool` we thought, but they had part numbers cast into them. A bit of digging when we got home revealed them to be commonly available Rota Cups. [:[]

Why do people do that!! [:x]

I dont think it would pass an MOT with the rear engine running would it?

I would also like to show him the video of bigdub when the rear engine blew up and see if he wants a firewall then!

Hi all im the one who purchased the mk1 and yes it is for a promo tool for chiptuning/remapping.

Think the exhausts might be quite restrictive though "2 half inch stainless steel exhausts"

I work very closely with custom chrome racing doing all there sofware upgrades, if anyone would like to see the car its at the performance and styling show at stafford showground at the minute on custon crome racing stand (who built the exhaust).

If you read the car spec sheet correctly it actually stated intercooler capacity (not engine bhp). Yes the largest turbo is a k03 and they are very capable of holding strong boost without the lag (holding is 16 psi easy achieved) and before you say it the lifespan of the turbo is shortend....

Not much of a sleeper with that badge...

Its a promo vehicle...The same as the mk escort which is virtually completed (its in prima ready for paint) space framed running 4wd cosworth yes wnd mk2 escort.

The way he spoke about it, it was like he built it, but some things didn`t ring true. Makes sense now. Apparently he had `done` it as an advert for his re-mapping company.

The way i spoke about it wasnt as if i built it if you remember correctly i was talking about the mk2 escort. And yes its an advert

What was actually stated about the engines not being connected was for one reason its law only to have one engine running a vehicle at any one time. The tiny tank holds 35 litres which is more than enough for a track car. The rear engine is cable, not fly by wire as pointed out to you.

I hate it when people buy a car then try to pass it off as their own work. Especially when they can`t back up what they`re saying with actual knowledge.

As for knowledge a hell of alot of 1.8t in europe run my software just ask yourself how many people in this country who do chiptuning know what they are putting into your vehicle and how many can write the software (very very few people)

I dont think it would pass an MOT with the rear engine running would it?

It has a full MOT but your correct you can only have one engine running..

I would also like to show him the video of bigdub when the rear engine blew up and see if he wants a firewall then!

Seen it before unlucky ( felt sorry for them all that hard work up in flames)

At least i have given some of you something to talk about but some of you may need my services in the future with remapping or software upgrades or immo off files if you are doing an engine transplant. Feel free to ask

    Regards James

LOL, good to see you on here, The spec sheet did say BHP, i read it about 5 times just to make sure i was'nt dreaming. i think i have seen a pic of it floating around the net somewhere too. Yea the k03 is a great turbo but not 350/650hp great! If it was intercooler capacity's,

How were you measuring them? Litre's, ML, CC, none of them figures would add up. Also, if your not claiming big power whats with the 500+hp sticker? (only got k03)
Custom chrome are local to me and are pretty good guys.
