Interesting. Looks mint & don't recognise it.

Seller has an ambiguous style of writing, not saying why its for sale, or how long he's had it, but implies 7 years.

2000 miles in the last 8 years... so it's not been used. Tucked as an investment? [:s]

What I was thinking, that one got sold not too long ago. Don't know why people buy something like that only to sell it on in less than 6 months. It's not like it's a sh*tter is it...[:s]

It is indeed our old mk1[8(]

Although its now on a different plate.
Can't understand why he's selling so soon, especially after he promised to cherish it and show it, a sort of gentlemans agreement as we really didn't want to have to sell it. But its the guys choice at the end of the day.

    Devestating though all the same.[8(]

I actually feel really p|ssed off seeing it for sale again so soon [:s]

The guy who bought it finds 'special' cars for people, but promised that he was buying the mk1 for himself, and not to sell it on. Oh well, thats another 'pointless' owner on the log book[:s]

I suppose we got 7 years of enjoyment out of it...Should never have sold it.

It's not really in the same price bracket but I had my 16v oak green for 6 years.

I loved it and looked after it so much - it didn't even go out in the rain and was garaged from Sept to March every year. If I was out in it and it rained I was mighty pi**ed off!

Anyway we bought and old house and it needed so much work that I had to sell the car to cover the cost of repairs. My mate said he would keep it and cherish it but 4 months later he sold it on for a profit[:x]

Shame but thats the way it goes sometimes!

Usual trader tell tale signs then..

    How long's he had it?

Clearly a nice car - somehow it had passed me by. Was it shown?

We sold it on December 28th Chris, to the first guy who saw it, with absolutely no hesitation for 8k. I really do believe it is one of, if not the best in the country. You have to see/smell it to believe it...

We never got chance to show it, as all the family is in business and struggle for time. We did plan on showing it at the now defunkt Volksdevil annual gathering, but we had to sell it beforehand.

If only you could see it mate[8(] There are a few well known 'supposedly' concours mk1's around that are regulars at the shows (mainly restored ones), ive seen them up close and they simply aren't a patch on it, they are nice don't get me wrong, and most would probably consider them 'mint' but the one on ebay is truly in a different league.

    Massively regret selling it [:^(]

Sorry to hear, guess it's just one of those things.

Is a buy back an option? Turn up, nod, 8k, thanks?
