Thought I'd start a list of unofficial forum fact! 1)Oak green mk2 must be looked upon as simply the best colour ever! (it also adds around 20bhp)! Fact! 2)20v conversions are king and will simply make your car the fastest car on the road! 3)All other cars apart from e30 BM's are pooe (for one reason or another)! 4) Body kits and bad two tone paint jobs are for chavs only...apart from Richgits car (because he is king of the dubs so it must be overlooked)! 5)Mk4 gti's are slower than other gti marques...but this must be overlooked because of vw's legandary build quality! anyone think of any more?
well, you sort of said it, but dont forget that mkII's are the best car on the planet and better than any porsche or ferrari or anything.

All Volkswagens (of any age) are better built and safer in a crash than any modern, airbag-equipped car.
standard vr6 engines can product over 50bhp than orignaly stated once put on the magic rolling road! over 150,000 mile by a gti engine is no problem...it will acually become much much faster due to the engine loosening up!
Power steering takes away driver involvement- for all those Mk2 owners with out it. All five door cars are sh*t Mk2 golfs are actually quiker than Scoobys.
