    hi chaps,

The power steering belt has just snapped on our 97R Golf TDI. Apart from loosing the power steering are there any secondary effects to worry about? such as cooling, additonal engine wear etc. It's just i need to use it for work tonight!?

    Appreciate any immediate advice!

    Thanks

I can't remember the layout, how many pullies does the belt go around apart from the crank
if it's just the one it's just the PAS

It only drives the PAS but I wouldn't drive it unless you absolutly have to... PAS racks are not meant to be used without fluid assistance.

    Halfords may have a belt?
