Using a multimeter on the ECU.

    you dont need to start the car ;)

    just check the resistance across those pins and compare to the resistance seen directly at the sensor. you can do it cold, then plug ecu back in and fire engien up for a bit then switch off and compare again , rince and repeat to ensure resistance matches.

    and the thing you are looking at is the TCI unit, the ECU is underneath it. did you check the link I sent above? ;)
