i am a Vauxhall man (as some of you may know threw my corsa) i have heard Vauxhall wheels will fit my Mk1 Golf? is this true? as i get offered loads of vauxhall wheels cheap everyday Vauxhall are ET45
yes in principle but you'll need a 1/4 inch spacer to avoid narrowing your track, which will give you slightly less grip....and watch carefully that: The base of the VW bolt head mates properly with the surface of the wheel (same shape), or you might have problems with them falling off. If they're not right, check to see if the vauxhall fittings will work. The bolts are long enough to get right into the hub with a good grip of the threads. Check that they clear your brakes and hub centres and sit properly - try one on before you buy! Edited by: mikehorsb
Vaux is 56.5mm, I`ve got some that need .6mm taking out of the middle. normal vag studs are raduis seat, aftermarket wheels are tapered seat (normally 60 degree).
I've got some BBS Rx's off a Calibra and they fitted fine on my 4 stud Mk3. Center bore needed taking out alittle, just did this with a file, Only had to remove the paint realy. ET was 42 which was ideal for the Mk3.
