hello, i am going to look at a tdi vento today,are there any faults on these cars i should be looking for. thanks to anybody who can help
mass air flow meter probs..... car is really "sluggish" when driving, common fault on most vag tdi cars, check all ellectric windows ...... replacement motors are expensive, but basically same car as mk3 golf
Have a look on here http://tdiclub.com/TDIFAQ/ for any info you need on tdi's. If it cuts out randomly while driving its most likely to be the glow plug relay, 109, very common thing to go wrong. Check for excessive smoke on start up and when you put your foot down, could be clogged air filter. Turbo should come in about 2k rpm and pull well upto 4.5krpm.
