    VW 181 'Thing' - civilian version of the Kubelwagen. In America it was called the 'Thing', everyone else calls it a 'Trekker'.

    A mate of my girlfriend has just bought this one:

    It's SUPERB! Roll on summer with the roof down and the windscreen folded forward (like a Land Rover) - great for cruising round in! The doors lift off too, fantastic!

    Well if it was black with big bumpers i'd snap it up.

    Audi 5-Pot lumps go in them quite nicely, much better than a tent at shows too! :) Mine's going to be a lot more 'old-skool' than that one though ;)
