hi guys I was driving to the shops yesterday and the water and oil temps shot up hight after about 20mins the water was in the red and oil temp was at 123c so I pulled over and popped the bonnet and steam was pouring out of the header tank I let it cool down filled it with water and slowly drove home. today I replaced the temp sensor on the rad and I notice the fans didn't kick in so I thought that was the problem but then started the car up and waited till in was up to temp and still overheating also I notice the bottom rad hoes was still cold but all the other hoes was piping hot and fans still not working properly as they started to spin but very very slow I have tested then with a battery and they spin up fine.

could this be a thermostat problem as I still get hot air from blower.

    cheers mark.

I'd try that first and hope it's not pressurising from h/g failure or anything nasty.

run it from cold with the header tank cap off, if you rev it do you see a stream of coolant and bubbles out the thin hose to the expansion tank? if not the waterpump could have gone
