    Hi,

I'm looking at getting a MK3 VR6 in the near future. I would like to know if the cams are belt or chain driven, and also at what service intervals it is recomended that the belt/chain be changed?

    Thanks for any help

Chain driven and around 100k, but can live the life of the engine

The chains are good for the life of the engine but it's the tensioners that go at anything from 80k+.
