I could insert a lot of swear words here but I won't as the crack pipe broke and kindly stuck part in the engine housing too... Got a replacement (non-vw) but it doesn't fit with the seal, so anyone know if i should just get a plastic jobbie or the alloy one? Any tips for replacing the crack pipe too as looks like I need to clear up some rusting around the engine side of the crack pipe housing
there's probably broen pipe still in the water pump housing. chisel it out and celan off any corrosion too. grease the rubber o-ring on the crack pipe and knock it in with a rubber hammer.
I managed to rip out the old plastic bit that snapped off Just didn't want to hammer the new one in as wasn't sure it was meant to have that much resistance as didn't want to damage the o-ring. I'll try again hopefully it'll work
dam things arnt they i thought chuff it made a alloy crack pipe , chuff the rip off prices only a 10min job, only pic i have of it
