VR6 Engine Height in MK2 ??????

Hello people

Can anyone please advise how much higher the AAA VR6 engine is over a standard 1.8 KR MK2 GTI ?

Trying to work out how much i would need to alter the mounts for the VR6 to sit the same as the KR engine.

Hello,

From what I remember, I think people take off around 12 / 15mm from the rear mount.

 

If it helps, my Mk2 VR6 has a solid front mount, 1.3 gearbox mount and a standard mk3 engine mount with 15mm of rubber material removed.

It sits slightly higher than my old ABF but the bonnet shuts and nothing rubs so its fine.
