Was cleaning my engine today and found this: http://us.f1.yahoofs.com/users/c9541940/304a/__sr_/a160.jpg? phWYjjBBNfeFYyoO http://us.f1.yahoofs.com/users/c9541940/304a/__sr_/31b8.jpg? phVYjjBBeldS4aTr
Common problem on VR6's that have one I think. VW want 65 for that and the inlet pipe between the MAF and the throttle body. They don't sell that part alone!!! Go to a Ford dealer and order that part off a VR6 Galaxy as they list it as a separate item. It costs about 20. You could find the plain pipe fitted to some VR's in a scrappy I suppose?
Can't remember to be honest. I got the parts guy to pull up the Galaxy air intake diagram on his computer and picked it out. I posted the part numbers on the Corrado forum quite a while back. The part I got from Ford had a VW part number on it as well as the Ford one, but, VW do not sell it alone. I will do a search now.
Ok, I have checked and here goes. Ford part number is F7364573. The VW number is 7M0 128 101 but VW will not sell it. Good luck. Edited by: stevef
If the engine is in good order then you may get a litte oil coming out but not much. I have seen more than one of these taped together. It should be fine but take it easy to be on the safe side. I used mine while the part arrived.
