"COUGH" "COUGH" I think you will find there are some VR6's on the go that have that sort of money spent on them and making some reasonable HP.... The answer to this issue is simple..... Anything is possible if you have enough money, but there is no getting away from the fact that there is no substitute for good old CC's so the VR6 has to win the day on that score...........
There is a 1000BHP VR6 in America, but it's not in a Golf. It's in a proper "rail" (read: big f*ck off dragster" and runs 7's......
what ya on about VR6T, you sayin yours is getting close to the 1000bhp mark? thats what I was talkin about. 1990 I've got a pic of 800gallons old vr6T rallye engine bay on my PC at home, cant see a lot, just looks like a VR6 with some extra pipes and the inlet in a funny position
Thats what i hoped! Just incase i ever mod the mk3, i need it to look subtle so the missus wont notice
Not with amount of cars out there running 1.8T's Plenty of crash damaged vw, seats and audis needing a engine lift
Just take a pic of your old engine bay, get it printed on a big sheet of paper and stick it on top of the new engine, she'll never notice
Oh yess.......... Its right up there..... To get a good 500hp you need to spent over 5k to go for over 1000hp god know how much that would cost???
HPAs Twin Turbo is about 20,000 fitted, but that includes retro fitted 4motion - Id guess about 10k for the twin turbos then? And that 'only' puts down 490BHP. I would have thought 1000BHP was mad Skyline/Supra territory only? Mind you Dahlbacks Audi pwoered Golf is 750BHP
exhaust manifold looks like someone welded an octopus to the engine! seriously impressed by the workmanship looks amazing, if looks counted for power it's be worth 200 on it's own
Thats one massive heat sink......... My setup see's over 80 dec under bonnet temps quite easly with 12 dec ambi out side temp when sitting in traffic..
