   Hi,
   
   Im saving atm for a vr6 conv. but i think my engine mount has gone on my current engine (a driver).
   
   Just wondering if i can use the front x-member i have bought for the conv. on the driver engine.... just that this would save me buying another engine mount i wont use for long.

   To use the VR front mount on your driver engine you will need to find an 020 front engine mount bracket off a MK3 Golf, so you might as well just buy a new solid rubber mount and use that. They aint expensive!
   The other option is to beg/buy/borrow a 2nd hand one, have a look in your local scrappy.
