Bit of a long shot but does any one know if these are available anywhere? I'll probably cobble up something of my own design, thought I'd ask first though. Even part names & numbers (if they exist) would be handy. Cheers, Pete
No - unavailable, & superseded by cage design now really. The only set I ever saw went for about 300 Euros and that was in 2006.
Thought as much, just curious really. I'll be caging up a shell in the next couple of months, probably look to tie the strut towers into the front legs of the cage. A friend who rallies plated up his inner guards, my car's for hillclimbs and sprints though don't think I'll be going to that extreme.
I was looking at doing this too. It would be very easy to triangulate the strut top back to the door pillars using box section. This could all be welded on the side of the inner wing with just a little panel beating to reduce a few of the raised areas. Late Pug 205s had tubular bracing back to the door pillar from the strut out of interest.
