Hi peeps some advise is greatly needed here I have a problem with my mkII as as the topic title says I am getting water in my fuse box.
I discovered this as my driverside parking light keeps coming on and I thought it was just a bit of dodgy wiring by the indicator, as I have had probs there before, but upon looking at it there is nothing wrong there so we checked the fuse box and basically the relays are soaking wet [:^(]
I managed to get the car started after an hour on a battery charger and ran the car for about an hour so to hopefully dry everything out, Which has seemed to of worked [:D] . The problem with the car is I dont drive it enough and although the car is bodily sound I think its condensation in it which is causing the probs.

Is there any thing I can do with regards to protecting the fuse box????

You've probably got a leak around the front windscren somewhere. most likely by the right hand wiper arm mounting. Pain to fix, I ran a bead of silicone around teh seal when I had a new screen fitted.

Check that the drainage holes in the inner wing chamber by the ECU are not blocked. This area is directly above the relay/fuse box.

Had to do the silicon round my windsceen- really big gaps at the corners.

Waiting for some heavy rain to check it worked...
