I can only see one plane. There is a boat of some sort requesting a pilot into port, should I get my lifejacket on?
Really, really lost! All I can get is SR 55. But the 'Blackbird' was SR 71. Obviously a very thick Oirish one of these?
We need you to glue all the sole shavings back on so we can check what the original sole thickness was
Measurements checked yesterday - all in oldies money: Welt: 0.108" Sole (total): averaging around 0.320" - 0.330" All of which means you're running an illegal driving shoe Dave < tuts > No cheating or homologation specials allowed here
The other shoos which were at Inters. Merrell don't-ask-me whats. Not so much a driving shoe as a driving-event-when-not-driving shoe! Occasionally used for 'tarmac decorating' purposes 1.1kgs
Ah ha, the illusive "other" shoes. Bit weighty aren't they? Can you apply any weight saving techniques to them? On a side note, it appears the rats have been gnawing your rim.
I had considered lightening them by cutting down the [STRIKETHROUGH]tassels[/STRIKETHROUGH] laces - would mean I could be trendy-as, by not doing my shoos up. Cool as f*ck or what? Those rats get everywhere!
latest pair weigh in at 1045g. some reason they have a chunky studded sole to them rather than a thin sole.
Don't be silly Andrew. If Jon P wore those on a Forest rally, the Navigator would be Mesmerised, as he would find it impossible to take his eyes off the dancing feet of the pilot as he left-foot-brakes, heel-and-toes and de-clutches, at 200 beats per minute! They are what we in the trade call: 'One man in the car only shoes'
Jackie Stewart used to race F1 in hush puppies with the edges buffed down as told in here. back when racers got up in the morning, gave Miss World a seeing to, smoked a fag and had a pint before getting in the car
2010 'step 2'-spec boat shoes for sale or hire on May 7 (Size 11). Proven track record, leather fully scrubbed in + soles skimmed. Will drive themselves around Curborough for an easy sub-30 sec lap. Bad bits: insoles need glueing, could do with polish, possibly recolouring & a bit of Nurburgring paint removing. Current dry weight, 1.0kg. neg. Ugandan Dollars accepted. Don't waste your money on anything else!
hi just a couple of questions 1. What is the wet grip of these shoes like? 2. Do you supply odour-eaters as part of the deal or would i need to supply my own?, The reason i ask is i have a medical condition requiring i use them at all times (Stilton-itus) Thanks
Hi, thanks for your interest. 1. Wet grip is good in damp conditions, but owing to the buffing of the sole and reduction of grooves, pedal grip performance will suffer when driving an open top Cabrio in a downpour. Sandpaper is recommended, and if necessary, just cable tie or gaffer tape the clutch shoe to the pedal 2. Odour eaters? These have been dry stored and have been allowed to breathe, so should be free from odour, ready to add your own touch []
