I know this has been covered but what's the best link to download ETKA? Would rather a site that doesn't require you to register & pay.

I know ETOS has replaced it but still want ETKA.

    Thanks

The only one i've seen to simply download off a webpage was an american version, which isn't much use to us. There are working current versions on a few filesharing networks (Bittorret and eMule), they're free ;)

Best way to get it I've found is to use emule:
Download & install EMule, then paste this into 'Update server.met from URL' on the server tab:

    http://www.edk-files.com/x1/server.met

and press update. This will give you a mahoosive list of emule servers, then sort the list by 'Users' or 'Files' which normally gives you the server 'Razorback 2' at the top. Double click it to connect, and while you're here right click and set its priority to 'High'.

Then search for ETKA & ETOS, sort by availablity :)
ETOS is just like ETKA but allows you to download up to date pricing, but doesn't have the ATP function. ETOS does VW, Audi, SEAT AND Skoda though

You can download a SEAT version of ETKA as well If you want too.

does anyone know how to do this on EKTA:

when u press alt+n and enter a part number, u get the description/price box up, but not the drawing . is there a way to bring the relevant drawing up?

also, how do you cross-reference? ie. show what other cars part is used on?

any other tricks? I've found it quite difficult to learn, and im sure there must be more that u can do! all my prices say 0.00 or 17.50 VAT etc...

Click the menu button -> ATP :)
Edit: For prices you have to use ETOS instead, you can connect to the internet to get the latest pricing

But like I said, it doesn't have ETOS, so I still have both installed on my PC :)

Type the part number in without spaces oryou get a message with "parts number unknown"?

as a test try this part number:

    press ALT & F12

then type it like this 171803127C instead of this 171 803 127 C

thenhighlight all VW & all Audi

you should then have a large list to cross-check against [:D].
